Topsham, ME – Tack trunks and stable hands are on the move once again this week as Maine’s legendary parimutuel fairground circuit makes its second stop of the 2026 season when the 172nd edition of the Topsham Fair swings open its gates on Sunday (Aug. 9).
Harness racing gets the jump over the traditional fairground offerings once again this year, taking center stage as the marquis Topsham offering on Sunday and Monday (Aug. 10) with post time for the parimutuel card slated for 4:00 p.m. Both cards will be preceded by a pair of $15,000-plus non-wagering Maine Sire Stakes dashes beginning at 3:00 p.m. each day.
Admission for both Sunday and Monday’s performances is free.
Programs for the Topsham races are available on-track as well as through the Trackmaster online platform and for those not able to come to the track, wagering on the Topsham Fair, as well as hundreds of harness and thoroughbred racetracks across the world, is available on Hollywood Races at www.hollywoodraces.com.

Racing will continue throughout the week at Topsham on Wednesday (August 12) with post time scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday is senior citizen’s day with admission for those 60 and over reduced to $5 for the day.
Post time for Thursday’s (Aug.13) card will be at 3:00 p.m., while Saturday’s (Aug. 15) grand finale will head to post at 1:00 p.m.
