Columbus, MN – Freshman Minnesota-sired action was featured at Running Aces on Tuesday night (August 18) and a couple of win streaks were on the line in the top divisions.

Slipped Onmybeans (by Captainryanmichael) rolled to her fifth straight win in the $15,000 fillies ‘A’ pace with a dominating 4-3/4 length tally in 1:54.3. The impressive filly driven by Dean Magee for owner/trainer and breeder Scott Banitt powered to the lead and once on top she opened up at every call. She was the 1-10 favorite and paid just $2.10 to win while Stormy Shores and Justin Van Oterloo rallied impressively from mid-pack to grab second money and Lady Gulf rounded out the top three.

Captain Ricky ($2.20) is also by Captainryanmichael and he turned in another sharp gate-to-wire effort from post eight for his third straight tally and his fifth win of the season in the $15,000 male ‘A’ pace with a one length tally in 1:54.3 while A A Ron surged late for second and Bombi rolled home in third. Casey Leonard was the winning pilot for trainer Justin Anfinson and owners Alan & Cheryl Sandbulte and Stephanie Anfinson.
Turbo Tinker and driver Leonard orchestrated a perfect pocket trip and rallied inside late to make it two in a row in the $17,500 male trot division for his fourth career win, taking a new mark in 2:02 over Wishingiwasfishing and Wind Hunter. The $3.40 winner is by Big Oil and is owned by Cathy Dessert and Ken Stauffer and also trained by Anfinson.
DM American Woman (by Tymal Templar) made the best of her second career start with a 2:02 victory in the $17,500 filly trot with Rick Magee in the bike for lessee and trainer Jenni King. She returned $9.20 on top.
Spiritofanoutlaw went down the road with a 1:51.4 score over Dandy’s Freedom and Speaking Volumes in the $14,000 Open II Handicap pace for his fifth tally of the year for owner/trainer/driver Brady Jenson. The win mutuel was $5.40.
Brady Jenson led the program with both a driving and training triple, while Casey Leonard and Justin Anfinson both posted doubles.
Live racing returns to Running Aces for an 11-race program on Thursday night (Aug. 20) and features a carryover of $4,979.08 in the 20-cent Pick-5 Jackpot wager starting in race seven. First post is set for 6 p.m. (CDT).
