Middletown, NY – The annual Goshen Yearling Sale will be held Monday, Sept. 14, in Middletown, N.Y.
This year’s sale has 120 yearlings that are New York eligible, and 130 yearlings in total. New York has the finest sire stakes program in the nation, with the finals now going for $300,000 each. In addition, the Excelsior finals go for $100,000; Big Apple races go for $250,000; county fair finals go for $25,000 each.
The best 2-year-old filly in New York is Cowboy Candy 2, 1:51.4f, $188,450, a 2025 Goshen Yearling Sale purchase.
Bastonata Bluechip 2, 1:55.4h, $85,187 and Phast Phyllis 2, 1:56.1f, $58,895 were also both purchased at Goshen in 2025.
The top 3-year-old filly Say Goodnight 3, 1:50.1f, $385,250, is a Goshen Sale graduate, as well as many other top performers.
New York’s top pacing sire, Huntsville, is represented by six colts and five fillies.
First-crop sire Cannibal has eight colts and seven fillies in the sale.
New York eligibles by Back Of The Neck, Courtly Choice, Crazy Wow, Devious Man, Hurrikane Emperor, Met’s Hall, Shadow Play, Six Pack, So Surreal, and The Veteran, will also be offered for sale.
PA-breds include yearlings by Papi Rob Hanover, Stay Hungry, Father Patrick, and Volume Eight.
Blue Chips Farms, agent, will be selling a colt by the great sire Tactical Landing.
The sale will be held as always at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, N.Y. Post time is noon on Monday.
