Analysis:
Race 7: (3) Hurrikane Mitchell made two moves over sloppy track in first try for new barn, missing by five lengths but interestingly earning the best TrackMaster speed rating of any in here. Gets better spot and Brennan sticks. (6) Caution Signs and (7) Manhattan Benny are both freshmen who have been chasing NY breds in stakes events most of their short careers. The former is impeccably bred and hasn’t been that far off in a number of stakes events including a third place finish in 1:57 mile here on August 9 while the latter won career debut at Goshen back in June and, although not doing much since, has looked better in recent starts. Wouldn’t be a total shock to see either one move forward in this field.
Race 8: (1) Hang Ten has the most speed of any in here but has had problems holding on. I’ll try him again hoping he can make amends off a 3-5 loss last time. (6) Trip Hanover went down the road attempting to bottom out the field, did well to hold place. Switches to Brennan and has shown the ability to be used twice in a number of efforts.
Race 9: (1) All Tricked Out returned to best level last time, vacated the pocket turning for home and was out kicked by pacer who followed him on the pylons in 1:53.4 mile. Gets the rail again and a switch to “The White Knight.” (2) Lady’s Bag Man nailed the top one up the passing lane last time after taking career mark at Pocono two back.
Race 10: (5) Artic Stretch returns to best level while sharp and will likely leave for a trip here. (7) Awesome Armbro N was claimed off sharp wire-to-wire score against weaker by barn that does well with their claims. Draws tough spot but gets Brennan and may change tactics with a ton of speed inside of him. Plenty of back class here.
Good luck.
