Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association is sponsoring four late closers at the Defiance County Fair in Hicksville, Ohio.

The Chuck Peter Memorial 2-year-old trot and the Jim Corkwell Memorial 3-year-old pace will be raced on Tuesday (August 21) and the Jay and Helen Volkert Memorial 2-year-old pace and the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 3-year-old trot will take place on Friday (August 24).

All four late closers are for colts, geldings and fillies (open to the world) and will carry purses of $2,000 added.

A nomination fee of $50 is due on August 1 and the entry fee will be $75. Nomination blanks are available by phoning Bill Peters at 419.298.7408.
