Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $75,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on July 23, part of the USTA Strategic Wagering program. Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, July 23, 2011 I hit the Pick-4 this past Friday (July 15). The week before that, I hit one for $333.20. On July 15 it paid $49.60 but I had it for $4 on my $8 ticket so the return was $99.20. That’s two Pick-4s I’ve hit this meet but I’m still down $43.60 as of Thursday night. Tonight’s sequence is tricky, it doesn’t look that difficult but probably is tougher than it looks, if that makes any sense. I’m trying a bigger ticket than I’ve been playing lately. $1 play: 35/23/38/478 = $24 Analysis: Race 6: (3) Silent Swing seems best to me but I’m also using the other obvious horse, (5) All Speed Hanover. Race 7: (2) Southern Sport is sitting on best but I also used the classy veteran, (3) Southwestern Dream. Race 8: (3) Melvyn is the obvious horse here but I also used the Burke horse, (8) I’m Feelin Good, who is actually my third ranked choice. The one horse has a shot but I left him out as I’ve been keeping my tickets small. Race 9: (4) Going Native appears best but is not that reliable so I used the old class horse (8) Super Eighty Eight and long overdue (7) Froggy Turner.
