Mini horse equipment stolen at Pompano Park

by Steve Wolf, senior director of racing operations, Pompano Park

Pompano Beach, FL — A pair of miniature horse jog carts and a special Budweiser mini horse wagon, plus equipment and blankets, were stolen from the mini horse barn at the Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park last night.

Track management is asking everyone in the industry that has mini horses or knows people with mini horses to please be on the lookout for these unique items.

The two jogging carts are black and white and the Budweiser wagon is a single hitch, double-seat wooden wagon with embossed Budweiser logos on three sides.

The miniature horse program at the Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park is a volunteer group run by trainers and owners at the track who use their mini horses to help educate young people about the sport of harness racing and they participate in charity and community events in south Florida. The value of the three carts alone is more than $5,000.

Anyone with information about the missing carts are urged to please contact Steven Wolf or Debbie Schaut in the racing department at the Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park at (954) 972-2000 or via e-mail at steve_wolf@islecorp.com or debbie_schaut@islecorp.com.
