Abby Rose takes feature at Tioga

Nichols, NY — Abby Rose and driver Ridge Warren captured the featured $10,500 pacing event for fillies and mares at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 12).

Vicious Circle (driven by Wally Hennessey) got the first call before yielding to Abby Rose, who took command before completing a :26 quarter. She used a :28.2 second quarter to lead to the half in :54.2, and then started to open up as she cruised to three-quarters in 1:22.4.

As they made the turn for home, Pearl Harbour N (Mike Merton) found a late opening and came all-out after the leader, Abby Rose was too strong and equaled her lifetime mark of 1:52.1 in victory. Pearl Harbour N had to settle for second; Vicious Circle was third best.
