Dover, DE — Alta Revelry N stormed home to win the $25,000 Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Thursday night (Feb. 13).
Alta Revelry N left aggressively along the pylons, parking out Captaincountrystar two deep and Adam Twelve three deep in the early stages of the race. Adam Twelve retreated back to third. Captaincountrystar cleared on the lead passing the opening quarter in a wind aided :26.1.

Captaincountrystar cruised to the half unchallenged in :54.2. Wehadababyetzaboy roared first over and uncovered down the backstretch and into the headwinds. Patronus Star N grabbed the second over tow and Itsrockandroll A countered third over, parked out, while Alta Revelry N protected pocket position.
Captaincountrystar, the 9-5 betting favorite, continued on the lead, passing the three quarters in 1:23.
Alta Revelry N vacated the pocket in mid-stretch and sounded the alarm to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:51.3. He paid $21 for the victory. Wehadababyetzaboy finished second and Adam Twelve picked up the show spot.

Tony Morgan earned a driving triple.
