Southwind Nitro trotted to a track record of 2:01.2 on Tuesday.

Southwind Nitro, fresh off his Stallion Series win at Pocono last week, went wire-to-wire in 2:01.2, a new record for 3-year-old trotters, winning his division of the PA Sire Stake. Susan Daugherty owns, while Bill Daugherty sat comfortably in the bike for the mile, never asking the Donerail colt for speed.

In the second colt trot, Biscuits N Gravy won for the third straight time, scoring in 2:04 for owner/trainer/driver Kim Good. Biscuits N Gravy is a son of Cantab Hall.

The last group winner was North Broadway, trained and reined by Roger Hammer for owner Kyle Bolon. The Broadway Hall colt was a winner in 2:04.3.

In filly pacing action, Anxiety Hanover won for the fifth time this season, pacing in 2:02.1 for Hammer, who also owns and trains the filly, a daughter of The Panderosa.

In the second division, Kalua Killean, driven by Eddie McNeight, took a pocket trip behind Hammer and My Gal Mykenna, then overtook the frontrunner at the wire for a 2:02.1 victory. Chris Oluvic owns and trains the Allamerican Ingot filly.

Hammer returned to win the final division, guiding Bliss Falcon, out of his own stable, to a lifetime best 1:59.4 win. Bliss Falcon (Blissfull Hall) has now won six of 22 starts on the year.

In the lone division of the Quaker Pace, Bodine Hanover won in 2:00.4 for trainer/driver Joe Offutt, who co-owns with Maria Lewis. For Bodine Hanover (No Pan Intended), it was the second win in 18 starts this season.

Two divisions of the Quaker Trot were next, with victories earned by Elmer Fletcher (Tom Ridge) and Telling Secrets (Go Get Lost). Elmer Fletcher, owned by trainer Ken Weaver and Shaffer Standardbreds, trotted in 2:09.4, while Telling Secrets, leased and trained by Syl King, scored in 2:07.2. McNeight was the winning driver behind Elmer Fletcher, while Wayne Long guided Telling Secrets to the win.

In the first 3-year-old filly trot, Charming Photo came from behind to win in 2:06.2 for driver Timmy Offutt. Chris Offutt owns and trains the SJ’s Photo filly.

In the second division, Caviar And Kisses (SJ’s Caviar) scored in 2:02.2 for Hammer, who also trains for the Dunn Stable.

The final division was won by Caviar’s Dancer, a winner in 2:05 for David Brickell. The only horse in the field to stay flat, Caviar’s Dancer (SJ’s Caviar) is owned by Bob and Barb Krenitsky.

Two $5,832 splits of the sophomore colt pace ended the day, and Brickell guided Straight Character to the win in the first event, pacing in 1:59.4. The Shady Character colt has now won 14 of 26 starts this year for owner/trainer Bob Krenitsky, Jr.

In the final split Armageddon Hanover and Fourstarzconfusion finished in a tight photo for the top spot, with Armageddon Hanover hitting the line just a whisker in front. However, the colt was disqualified for interference earlier in the mile while on a break, giving Fourstarzconfusion the victory. David Slyman owns the winner, while Eddie McNeight trains and was in the bike. Although the time was officially disallowed, both pacers crossed the wire in 2:01.4.

The circuit next moves to Gratz in Dauphin County for two days of racing beginning on Sunday at 12 Noon. For video highlights, visit www.pafairharness.com.
