Middletown, DE – Anthony M. Domino, Jr., age 78, of Middletown, DE, passed away suddenly on Saturday (Aug. 5). He was born in Wilmington, DE. Anthony was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Domino (DMattia).
In addition to his parents, Mr. Domino was preceded in death by his son, Anthony R. Domino and his brother, Frank Domino. He is survived by three sons: Andrew, Alan, and Alex Domino; grandchildren; two sisters: Antoinette Lutz and Mary Ann Oakes; several nieces and nephews; his longtime devoted companion, Annette Leech; and her children and grandchildren; his good friend, Chris Lester; his sister-in-law, Beverly Domino; former spouse, Joyce Ann Domino; and his pride and joy, Max, his dog.
Tony was a member of the Delaware S.O.A. and the U.S.T.A. and was an owner, trainer, and driver of harness horses throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Some of his favorites were “Chief Temugin” ($177,970) and “Call Her Bluff” who won 36 races and earned $389,877. He bred her when she was done racing and had “Bluffs Real Deal’ ($314,871; 1:51.3) and “MJ Budah Baby” (215,592; 1:51.4). Tonyloved racing and caring for his horses, he was a true animal lover.
