Attendance of 35,500 at Vincennes for the Prix d’Amerique

Trotting fans from all over the world were at the Hippodrome de Vincennes in Paris, France, to watch one of the biggest trotting races, the Prix d’Amerique.

The race was won by the 6-year-old French trotter Idao de Tillard with Clement Duvaldestin in the bike; his father, Thierry Duvaldestin, trains the horse and bought Idao de Tillard as a yearling for 27,000 Euro. With Sunday’s purse, Idao de Tillard now has lifetime earnings of 1,924,430 Euro.

The first foal for Idao de Tillard was born on Jan. 17. In 2023, Idao de Tillard was bred to 111 mares in France, 100 French mares, eight from Sweden and three from Italy. Idao de Tillard stands for 2,000 Euro to be paid by booking and 10,000 Euro live foal. His sire, Severino, is a budget stallion, who stands for 2,000 Euro live foal.

The betting on the Prix d’Amerique race alone was 15.6 million Euro, down 4.5 percent from last year. Some 35,500 fans were at Vincennes Sunday while 6,000 attended the races Saturday.
