The near $1-million day of Kentucky Sire Stakes (KYSS) finals at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Monday (July 14) saw five track-record performances, the fastest of which came in a powerhouse romp by Erv Miller trainee Unreasonable to win the $100,000 final for 3-year-old pacing fillies in 1:49.4.

Lady Saturn (Brett Crawford) captures the featured $11,000 fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (July 11).

Green Manalishi S offspring Bingo Night and Flowing Tribute were the respective 1:54.4 winners of the two C$90,000 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold events for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Friday (July 11) at Woodbine Mohawk Park. It was the first Gold event of the year in this division.

Kinnder Hotblood (Jimmy Whittemore) captured the $7,500 featured trot at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 11).

When Dealin With Dewey is allowed to set the tempo, it’s not good news for the rest of the field. That was the case in Buffalo Raceway’s $16,000 Open Trot on Friday afternoon (July 11) as Dealin With Dewey ($9.50) got to the lead and never looked back in topping Crazy Ritz by a length in 1:56.2 over the fast track.

Greenshoe sired four out of the five stakes winners at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Friday (July 11) afternoon (unfortunately for future breeders, three of his quartet of winners are geldings, including both winners in the third preliminary leg of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for sophomore trotting males).
