Fourever Boy continued his top-class dominance at Plainridge Park on Monday (July 15) after winning the $20,000 Open Handicap pace, which was his third straight win and fifth in the last seven starts.
Marloe Hanover Grinds to Victory in Oak Grove Open
Sustaining a first-over push for practically the whole mile, Marloe Hanover then lasted once powering to the lead to grab the win in the $60,000 Fillies & Mares Open Handicap Pace at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Monday (July 15).
Clearfield (PA) Fair host Freshman racing
The Pennsylvania Fair Circuit swung into the fairgrounds in this north central Pennsylvania borough for its only four-day stand of the year, with 2-year-olds on Sunday (July 14) and Monday (July 15) and 3-year-olds the following two cards. At Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Monday afternoon (July 15), Diamante Hanover and King Tut Hanover stayed lively to the wire (during the second half of the card, the average final quarter was only :29.4) to take their respective $15,000 featured trots.

Front End holds up over “Sloppy” Philly Oval
On Friday (July 12) afternoon Harrah’s Philadelphia had a pair of pacing events for the four highest purse levels offered on the card. In “sloppy” conditions Friday, all of the feature winners, regardless of age, sex, or classification type, had one thing in common.: they all were on or near the lead heading towards the far turn – pacesetters, pocketsitters, and first-overs won fourteen of the fourteen races Friday.

Hellrider gets a trip from heaven at Buffalo
It was a trip from heaven for Hellrider ($4.10) in Buffalo Raceway’s co-featured $9,000 Class B trot on Friday afternoon (July 12) as he had no issues in cruising to a length victory over Caviar’s Yankee in 1:59.0.
Ahi Sunshine shone brightly in Plainridge Park Open
Ahi Sunshine has already won six races this year, but none of them came at Plainridge Park, despite having started there five times. That all changed on Monday (July 8) afternoon when the 4-year-old horse captured the $20,000 Open Handicap pacing feature in a career best effort at The Ridge.
