Muskateer Hanover massive at Oak Grove; last three races abandoned
Off three straight strong efforts out of post eight at the top class, Muskateer Hanover landed a good draw and capitalized on the opportunity to go a lights-out 1:49.3 mile and win the $37,000 Open Handicap Pace as the 7-5 favorite on Monday (June 3) at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel.
Natameri scorches Plainridge Open in 1:49
They were flying at The Ridge on Monday afternoon (June 3) and Natameri led the way after registering a 1:49 flat victory in the $20,000 Open Handicap pacing feature, which was the fastest pacing mile of the year so far at Plainridge Park.
Carmen G. Cappotelli, 81, dies
Carmen Cappotelli was born February 22, 1943 in Batavia, New York. He was the son of Victor and Caroline (Yasso) Cappotelli. Carmen lived in Caledonia his entire life. In 1964 he married his next door neighbor, Patricia. Two years later, their daughter Lynn was born.

French Kronos easiest of winners at Pocono
In the $15,000 trotting feature on Monday (June 3) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, the Face Time Bourbon colt French Kronos couldn’t have had much of a harder trip early, but he then went on to the easiest of victories in a lifetime best of 1:53.2.
California Sires Stakes Nomination payments due July 1st
Nominating and sustaining payments are due July 1st, 2024 for the California Sires stakes program. Foals of 2023 have a nomination fee of $150 and foals of 2022 have a sustaining fee of $250. Payments are due by July 1st,2024 postmarked. 2-year-olds, (foals of 2022) have no grace period, while yearlings, (foals of 2023) may nominate after July 1st at the higher fee of $300 until December 31st, 2024 postmarked.
