Born A Rebel was in a ‘rebellious’ mood down the stretch in Buffalo Raceway’s featured $13,800 pace on Saturday afternoon and that never say die late charge carried him to a narrow head victory over Egomania in a seasonal best 1:55.2 over the fast track.

Records continue to fall at Eldorado Scioto Downs as three track records have been tied or set in the last five racing days.

Bettors Donttell (Brad Irvine) won the $7,500 featured Linda Sorenson Memorial Pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (July 12).

The best race of the Saturday afternoon card at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania was the first race, with Dandy Ideal, who overcame post eight to win in 1:48.2 – within two-fifths of a second of the track record for sophomore pacing geldings set by two of the best horses of the previous decade: Lucan Hanover (2013) and Wiggle It Jiggleit (2015).

Over $900,000 in purses are on the table Monday (July 14) at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel as the southern Kentucky track hosts an octet of $100,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes finals for 2- and 3-year-olds.

At the Enghien track in Paris, 9-year-old Go On Boy (sired by Password), trained and driven by Romain Derieux, delivered a strong performance, decisively overtaking frontrunner Hohneck and winning the Prix de Washington in 1:50.2—a new race and track record.
