Four of the five winners in Tuesday afternoon’s (April 16) $20,000 second-round divisions of the Bobby Weiss Trotting Series for sophomore fillies at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania were repeat winners from last week. In five $17,500 third-round preliminaries of the Game Of Claims Trotting Series for $30,000 horsess, driver Simon Allard and trainer Mark Akins teamed for three winners, including a pair of prelim sweepers – but only one of those horses will be coming back for them in next Tuesday’s series Championship.

Hutt Racing Stable’s Twin Delight ($90.80, Art Stafford Jr.) sprung an upset in the $22,500 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4.

Off the second longest shot on the board, College Tuition bolted for the lead and carved the mile to his liking for a 1:54.3 upset in the $30,000 Open Trot at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Tuesday (April 16).

Kinesiology was the fastest winner in the six $20,000 first-round divisions of the the Bobby Weiss Series for 3-year-old trotting fillies on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon (April 9) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, while Hall Of Fame driver David Miller accounted for three of the Weiss winners.

Driver Montrell Teague won seven races Tuesday (April 9) at Harrington Raceway, headlined by George and Tina Dennis and Mark Stonesifer’s Grandeur Seelster ($12.80), who scored a 1:55.3 win in the featured $22,500 Mares Open.

There were decidedly mixed results in $20,000 first-round preliminaries of the Bobby Weiss Series for 3-year-old pacers on a cool Saturday afternoon (April 6) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania. In the three dashes for fillies, two favorites and a second choice won; but in action for the sophomore males, the chalk met its Waterloo, with four second choices, a third choice and a 36-1 prospect winning.

Yer So Bad gave Tony Verruso victory in Saturday’s (April 6) lone Meadowlands Amateur Driving Club (MADC) event at the Meadowlands.
