Call Me Goo’s dad, Googoo Gaagaa, was a world champion with wicked speed, and her mom, Callmemza, won multiple Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund finals. Her sister Callmegaga was a one time Maryland Sire Stakes record holder, and her grandfather, Great George Two, while quirky, could fly. So it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Call Me Goo is a talented horse. On Tuesday night (April 23) at Rosecroft, the 4-year-old started her new year in fine fashion romping to victory in the $25,900 Maryland Sire Stakes for 4- and 5-year-old trotters in 1:54.2.

Making his first start at Plainridge Park this year on Thursday (April 18), Snowpiercer made quick and easy work of the competition in the $17,000 featured trot and notched his fourth win of the year in the process.

A pair of Hall Of Fame horsemen, driver David Miller and trainer Joe Holloway, combined with Benjamin Hanover to win Thursday’s (April 18) $13,500 trotting feature in a lifetime-best 1:52.3.

Four of the five winners in Tuesday afternoon’s (April 16) $20,000 second-round divisions of the Bobby Weiss Trotting Series for sophomore fillies at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania were repeat winners from last week. In five $17,500 third-round preliminaries of the Game Of Claims Trotting Series for $30,000 horsess, driver Simon Allard and trainer Mark Akins teamed for three winners, including a pair of prelim sweepers – but only one of those horses will be coming back for them in next Tuesday’s series Championship.

Hutt Racing Stable’s Twin Delight ($90.80, Art Stafford Jr.) sprung an upset in the $22,500 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4.

Off the second longest shot on the board, College Tuition bolted for the lead and carved the mile to his liking for a 1:54.3 upset in the $30,000 Open Trot at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel on Tuesday (April 16).
