Due to concerns regarding anticipated winter weather, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows has moved this week’s qualifying races from Tuesday (Dec. 2) to Wednesday (Dec. 3).

The march toward the Prix d’Amerique is on
This Sunday, the second qualifying race for the Prix d’Amerique – Prix de Bourbonnais – will be held at Vincennes, raced over 1-3/4 miles, with four wild cards up for grabs once again. But the journey toward a start in the Prix d’Amerique is also underway on other fronts.
James Platz to receive January Davies Humanitarian Award
James Platz, from Noblesville, Ind., has been selected as recipient of the 2025 January Davies Humanitarian Award from the U.S. Harness Writers Association (USHWA). The award was created in 2008 by U.S. Harness Writers Association member Callie Davies-Gooch in memory of her daughter to recognize contributions beyond harness racing.
Tetrick, George honored during weather shortened closing night at Hoosier
Winter weather conditions forced the cancellation of the closing night card after five races on Saturday (Nov. 29) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, but not before Trace Tetrick and Tyler George made their annual treks to the winner’s circle to be honored as the leading driver and trainer, respectively, in 2025 once again.
