The schedule for the 2023-24 district meetings has been released by the U.S. Trotting Association. USTA members are encouraged to attend their district meeting where they will be given the opportunity to discuss the 32 suggested USTA rule change proposals and hear timely information on a variety of topics specific to their district.
Harness racing children’s author visits Shenandoah County middle schools
Children’s equine author Amber Sawyer, a Wisconsin resident, is spending this week in Woodstock where she, harness racing driver/trainer Stacy McLenaghan, and Shenandoah Downs’ Director of Racing Dee Lineweaver are visiting middle schools in the area promoting the sport of harness racing to new young audiences.
2024 Ohio Stallion Directory forms available
Work has begun on the 2024 Ohio Standardbred Stallion Directory. Ohio stallion owners wishing to have their stallions listed in the directory must complete the registration form that is available on the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association website.
A last hurrah for Jujubee
Jujubee, the 2021 Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt trotting champion and Dan Patch Trotter of the Year, will stand at stud next year at Ivy Lane Farm in Goshen, Ind., for a fee of $4,000.
