Bill Still named Delaware Valley USHWA Caretaker of the Year

Harrington, DE — William “Bill” Still has been named the Delaware Valley Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association’s Caretaker of the Year for 2022.

Still has worked in the racing industry for more than 20 years, working for notable trainers such as Eric Ell, Josh Green and Chuck Crissman Jr. For the last 10 years he has worked for the stable of Crissy Crissman-Bier and her husband Sean.

Still, 53, currently has 10 horses under his care and despite a busy work schedule, always manages to keep a charismatic demeanor while demonstrating a transparent passion for the horses. He is best known for his winner’s circle celebrations at various racetracks.

He lives in Camden, Del., with his 11-year-old daughter Kelsey.

Still will be recognized for his efforts at the annual Delaware Standardbred Owners Association banquet on Jan. 13 in Dover, Del.

He will be presented with a check of $500 courtesy of the Delaware Valley Chapter of USHWA and Jim and Barbara Boese.
