Vernon, NY – Bluesville (Ron Harp) captures the $7,500 featured pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (July 5).

Capt Jack Hanover (John MacDonald) was first to quarter in :26.0. He used a :29.0 second quarter as he led to the half in :55.0. War Of Will was first to make a move going first-up heading around the final turn. Capt Jack Hanover was first to three-quarters in 1:24.1.
As they entered the stretch Bluesville ($9.00) popped the pocket and wore down second place finisher Capt Jack Hanover to win in 1:51.1. Twin B Kingston (Shawn McDonough) finished third.
Bluesville is a 6-year-old gelding by Huntsville. He is owned by Big Sky Ranch and trained by Harp. It was his third win this season. He now has 22 career victories.
Starlicrescentroll (Leon Bailey) grabs the$7,500 trot. The 6-year-old gelding by Crescent Fashion trotted the mile in a lifetime best of 1:54.3 paying ($10.40) for the win. Lous Lancelot (John MacDonald) was second best. Helphasarrived (Claud Huckabone Jr.) finished third. Starlicrescentroll is owned by Lucky Label Stable and trained by Taylor Fritz. It was his fifth win this season and his 13th career victory.
The Hunt Is On (Leon Bailey) found an opening by the pylons to slip through and win the $7,500 fillies & mares’ pace. The 6-year-old filly by Huntsville stopped the clock in 1:53.0. She is owned by Devan Flood and trained by Gary Gibson. She won for the second time this season paying $8.10 for the win. Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) had to settle for second best. Ideal Entry (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) finished third.
