“We are so honored to have been chosen to be a part of the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge this year. Over the past 30 years we have taken many horses who raced their last start at Hoosier Park or were Indiana bred. We have also taken horses like Wakizashi Hanover, who raced in the Breeders Crown,” stated Winnie Morgan Nemeth who is the Standardbred Program Director for New Vocations.

A few of the Indiana horses that have transitioned and been placed as riding horses are Tyde The Glyde, New Talent, Viking Kemosabe, Eeyore, Stonebridge Lyric, General Doug A, Sharp Action Money, Singing Saint, and Dialamara.

“We would like to thank the Hambletonian Society, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, the Indiana Standardbred Association and the Indiana Racing Commission for all they have done to make this event possible.” Nemeth said.

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program is a 501 © 3 charity, accredited by the Standardbred Transition Alliance that takes in retired Standardbreds coming off the track. For more information, visit NewVocations.org.
