Breedings needed to support aftercare

Lexington, KY — Breedings are still greatly needed for New Vocations’ 25th annual stallion auction to be held via onGait.com Feb. 7-9.

This important fundraiser is crucial to the charity’s ability to rehabilitate, train and rehome nearly 100 retired Standardbred racehorses and broodmares each year.

“We greatly appreciate the many individuals and farms that have already donated breedings,” said Executive Director Dot Morgan, “but we seriously need more owners and breeders to join in this effort. Rehabilitating sore racehorses and transitioning them and old broodmares to pleasure riding, then finding qualified homes that will appreciate their wisdom and training, is a serious investment of time and money. The stallion auction gives us the resources to fulfill this mission.”

Call or email Dot Morgan 937.205.4667 or dot@horseadoption.com to donate a breeding or to make a contribution in lieu of a breeding. Breedings for the auction are needed by Feb 6, but breedings are welcomed all season to be offered privately. View the current list of breedings here.
