Brennan joins $200 million club

Columbus, OH — George Brennan became only the seventh driver to crack $200 million in career North American purse earnings, doing so on Thursday (May 11) at MGM Yonkers Raceway when he drove Peter Tritton trainee Pace N Pride N to a 1:53.2 victory in a conditioned pace.

That win put the 56-year-old Brennan in the company of John Campbell, David Miller, Tim Tetrick, Yannick Gingras, Ron Pierce and Brian Sears as the only reinsmen to have achieved that rare feat.

Brennan, who began driving in 1981, spent most of his first decade competing at his hometown track, Monticello Raceway, before also plying his trade in New England and New Jersey. Now based primarily at MGM Yonkers Raceway, Brennan enjoyed peak productivity from 2010-12, driving over 600 winners and accumulating over $10 million in purses in each of those seasons.
