Mt. Sterling, IL — Racing will be held at the Brown County Fair in Mt. Sterling, Ill., on Aug. 4 and 5.
The Illinois Stallion Stakes will be the feature races for 2-year-olds with estimated purses of $15,000 per class. Questions regarding eligibility for the stallion stakes can be directed to Tina Schrock at 217.416.0006.
Stake races for 2- and 3-year-olds for the Mid-Western Illinois Racing Association as well as several overnight races will be held.
Post time for both days is 2 p.m. The Brown County Fair will feature pari-mutuel wagering. All purses will be paid out on race day. Entries can be made online or by calling 217.416.0006 on Wednesday for Aug. 4 races and Thursday for Aug. 5 races before 10 a.m.
