Buckeye Stallion Series leg on Tuesday at the Lake County Fair

Columbus, OH — The Buckeye Stallion Series continues as the Lake County Fair in Painesville, Ohio, will host the second leg of the 2-year-old filly trotters on Tuesday (July 24).

Four previous 2018 Ohio Fair Stake winners will start in race three. Ilianora (Broadway Hall-Nessa Rose) won at Bucyrus on July 19, Foolmegypsy (Deep Chip-Flirtified) was a winner at Carrollton on July 17, Hastalavistaeldunn (Neely Dunn-Sweet Edith) won July 21 at Marysville and Breakthemagic won at Ottawa on June 27.

Race five will see two Ohio Fair Stake winners start. Supreme Lady (Knight Of Intrigue-Open The Case) won at Carrollton on July 17 and Twentyfour K Magic (Dontyouforgetit-Magic Memory) won at Marion on July 2.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association’s Racing with the Stars tent will also be at Painesville both Tuesday and Wednesday ready for fans to participate in a variety of activities, including the chance to win a Kroger gift card during the fan contest.

Buckeye Stallion Series legs held at Scioto Downs

The Buckeye Stallion Series had another great evening of racing again Saturday (July 21) at Eldorado Scioto Downs as the 3-year-old colt pacers raced leg three of the series.

The first race was a close win in 1:55 for Medoland Brutus (Art Official-Jodie Lynne Tup) and driver Jason Brewer. Philippe Belanger trains and co-owns the colt with Jeffrey Koesters. Tamara Hoovler is the breeder. Two Pet Rock colts were close behind with Gonnarockyourworld (Pet Rock-Sportsmistress) in second and Champion Rock (Pet Rock-So Wanted) in third.

The winner of race two was Pet Rock colt Gotarockinmypocket (Pet Rock-Fran Anna) with Brady Galliers in the sulky. They finished in 1:52.2. Steve Crist trains for Jerry Zosel and Kathy Ratcliff, who are also the breeders. Panimal Kingdom (No Pan Intended-Adventurepan) came in second followed by Rock On The Creek (Pet Rock-Pebble Creek).

Dancin Dragon (Dragon Again-Mcdance Desire) and Dan Noble were in the winner’s circle for race 11 after a finish of 1:53. The colt is trained by Jim Arledge Jr. and owned by James Russell Arledge and Mark Marroletti (who is also the breeder). Coming in second and third were Pet Rock colts Rockin Mercedes (Pet Rock-Scootin Mercedes) and Cass Delight Rock (Pet Rock-Amber Delight).

The final race of the series Saturday was won by In Trouble Again (Dragon Again-Whatswrongwiththat) in race 12. Driven and trained by Jeff Nisonger, the colt finished with a close win in 1:54.2. In Trouble Again is owned by John Van Horn and bred by Teresa Van Horn and Leeann Carroll. Dragonology (Dragon Again-La Diavla) and Official Nub (Art Official-Nuzzle Hanover) placed second and third.
