After the second race the walkers headed out on the track for the half-mile walk for the cure.

As someone fighting MS, Tina Cassell, the daughter of local horseman Dan Warrington, was one of the honorees along with Heather Ward, receiving roses in the winner’s circle.

After the second race the walkers headed out on the track for the half-mile walk for the cure; even the weather co-operated with a beautiful evening while much of the state was getting heavy rain. The walkers were greeted at the finish by Ocean Downs staff handing out t-shirts for their efforts.

The Pacing for the Cure table was a steady stream of patrons and horsemen donating by buying raffle tickets and merchandise all night long and the horsemen in the backstretch made generous donations showing their support too.
