Hamburg, NY – Buffalo Raceway is set to open for their 2024 racing season on Saturday (March 2) and will race Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. in the month of March. Fridays with a 2:30 p.m. post time will be added in April and remain on the schedule throughout the season.
In addition to racing three days a week, Buffalo Raceway will feature a three-division series that will run for three weeks.
The first of two divisions of the Jump Start Series for pacers will kick off Wednesday, April 10 and highlights those who have not won $8,000 (F&M $10,000) in 2024 with eight or more starts and will go for two legs of $10,000 and a final of $20,000.
The second division for pacers will start Saturday, April 13 and will be open to those who have not won $12,000 (F&M $15,000) in 2024 with eight or more starts. The first two legs will race for $12,500 and a final for $25,000.
There will also be a division for trotters starting Friday, April 12 who have not won $10,000 (F&M $12,000) in 2024 with eight or more starts and will have two legs that go for $11,000 and a final for $22,500. To be eligible for the series, a horse must have raced a minimum of two starts at Buffalo Raceway of the eight or more total starts in 2024.
