Cara Collins elected District 6 USTA track director

Columbus, OH — Cara Collins, Racing & Equine Facilities Manager of Oak Grove Racing and Gaming, has been elected to the U.S. Trotting Association’s board of directors as a track director in District 6.

She fills the open seat that was vacated with the closing of Pompano Park in 2022.

Collins is a graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and animal science. She has been with Oak Grove Racing and Gaming since the property opened and now manages the Standardbred race meet as well as other equestrian events at the facility.

Collins was selected through electronic balloting of the district’s two racetracks, The Red Mile and Oak Grove Racing and Gaming. She joins Chris Antonacci as the district’s second track director; Antonacci represents The Red Mile.

Her term will run through 2026.
