Columbus, OH — Carol A. Malcolm, 83, died recently at her home, in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Born Jan. 13, 1941, Ms. Malcolm was active as a Standardbred owner and trainer in New England in the 1970s and 1980s. She worked as the simulcast coordinator at Hazel Park Raceway, served as an associate judge in Massachusetts and Minnesota, and spent many seasons as the paddock judge at Pompano Park. She also served as the executive director of the New England Harness Horsemen’s Association and worked in the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s pari-mutuel division.
