Carryovers fuel Monday bettors’ bonanza at Oak Grove

Oak Grove, KY — A quartet of carryovers provide ample value opportunities for players partaking in Monday’s (May 22) Kentucky Standardbred Development Fund action at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel.

After going unsolved on Sunday (May 21), both the early and late Pick-5s boast growing carryovers. The early Pick-5, comprising the card’s first five races, has a $2,878.60 carryover, while the late Pick-5, consisting of races 6-10, will have $1,380.61 added to the pool. Both Pick-5s offer a 50-cent base wager and a 15 percent takeout. Both Pick-4s on Sunday also went without winners, prompting carryovers of $2,258.87 in the early Pick-4 (races 3-6) and $1,827.80 in the late Pick-4 (races 10-13), both $1 base wagers.

On the track, $350,000 in purses will be contested, including four $50,000 KSDF preliminaries for 4-year-olds, a $28,000 Open Trot, and three Mini-Series finals. Some of the sport’s biggest names are scheduled to compete, including drivers Dexter Dunn, Andy McCarthy, Todd McCarthy and Dave Palone, and trainers Tony Alagna, Per Engblom, Erv Miller and Julie Miller.
