The Blooded Horse Sale is pleased to offer an especially nice group of horses at its Fall Mixed Sale on Wednesday (Nov. 15), in Springfield, OH. In addition to the supplement that is currently being taken, the main catalogue includes 76 yearlings – by sires such as Tall Dark Stranger, Downbytheseaside, Tactical Landing, Cantab Hall, Bettors Delight, and Green Manalishi.

Lorraine Cunningham, 76, of Warwick, N.Y., passed Oct. 31, 2023.

Wednesday (Nov. 1) is the first day of bidding for the Midland Acres online yearling auction.

Well-known local horseman Perry E. Buddy Simpson, 93, of Fairfield, passed away on Monday (Oct. 30), at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IL.

Winbak Farm is proud to offer a consignment of 21 yearlings in the Nov. 9-10 Harrisburg Mixed Sale. The yearlings sell on Nov. 9 at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. The Winbak Farm lineup includes Delaware, New York, Ontario and Pennsylvania yearlings.

As a guest of the United States Trotting Association, the National Racing Compact will be sending its Executive Director Patrick Thompson to the Standardbred Horse Sale on Nov. 7 and 8 to provide fingerprinting services, process new applications, add jurisdictions for existing members and answer any general questions that horsemen may have about licensing.

Hubert “Mac” McLaren, 88, of Harrington, Del., died Oct. 28, 2023, at Bayhealth Sussex Campus.
