The Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association, in conjunction with the Michigan Horse Racing Advisory Committee, will be hosting three racehorse ownership seminars March 10–12 at the Michigan Horse Expo in East Lansing, Mich.

The 2023 New Jersey Equine Industry Summit is just one week away, and the Equine Science Center is happy to announce some recent updates.

The SBOANJ is pleased to announce that owners of New Jersey sired horses 6 years of age and under will now receive an extra $100 payment in addition to the current bonus. The payment is made to the owner of a horse who competes in overnight events at Freehold Raceway and The Meadowlands.

The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association has added the Michigan pacing stallion Megatron (Mach Three-Dividend Dar) to its list for the silent auction for free breedings.

Salvatore Reale, 80, of Pittsburgh, Pa., died March 7, 2023.

Hanover Shoe Farms has donated a breeding to Betting Line to the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association’s Collegiate Scholarship Fund.

Salvatore Sparacino, 87, of Westbury, N.Y., died March 7, 2023.

The Rutgers Equine Science Center will host the 2023 New Jersey Equine Industry Summit on March 16. Hosted by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, the summit will be held at the Cook Student Center, New Brunswick.
