Illinois Department of Agriculture nomination due date changes:
The nomination payment for the Cardinal/Violet for 3-year-olds will be delayed until March 16 (March 15 is a Sunday.) In addition, due to county fairs starting on May 24, the supplement date to make horses eligible to county fairs has been moved to May 1 (originally May 15.)

Eileen Connors, wife of Communicators Hall of Famer Jerry Connors and office manager for Hall of Famer Max C. Hempt at Hempt Farms, passed away Jan. 13 of the inevitable ongoing complications of dementia. She was 74.
