Racing returns to West Liberty after 43 years
Iowa harness racing held their first race meet since 1977 at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds in West Liberty, Iowa on Saturday.
Live streaming of Paulding County Fair races on OHHA Facebook page
The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association and the Ohio Fair Racing Conference will kick off the county fair racing circuit with live streaming coverage of harness racing from the Paulding County fairgrounds Tuesday (June 16) and Wednesday (June 17).
Race dates at Pickaway County (Ohio) Fair changed due to pandemic protocols
Due to conditions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule for races at the Pickaway County Fair in Circleville, Ohio, has been adjusted. Horsemen are advised to disregard scheduling information previously released in the 2020 Huff’s Guide.
Fair Racing kicks off in the Bluegrass state
The first harness racing of the year in Kentucky took place this weekend in LaCenter. The Ballard County Fair Board worked with Governor Andy Beshear to safely hold the fair, racing under some new guidelines. The fair was a success and all horsemen were excited to get back to racing.
June County Fair races to be held in Springfield
Races will be held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on June 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 12:00 p.m.

Iowa opener contested Sunday at What Cheer
The 2020 Iowa racing season opened on Sunday (May 24) at the Keokuk County Fairgrounds in What Cheer, Iowa. Eighty-four horses competed in 16 overnight races. The grandstand was closed to spectators following Iowa’s COVID-19 guidelines and participants on the backside practiced social distancing.
