The Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association continued their Sunshine State Stakes program at Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village on Saturday (Nov. 15) with programs scheduled each remaining Saturday during November.

The Pennsylvania Fair Sire Stakes Circuit made its last stop of 2025 this past weekend at the Dayton Fairgrounds, about 60 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, where the final point standings champions were settled, and more importantly for many, which eight horses per division are in control of their own points destiny for their $25,000 divisional Championship, to be held Monday (Oct. 13) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.

When the famous Fryeburg Fair welcomed the Maine Sire Stakes on Wednesday (Oct. 1) it was the star sophomore pacing filly Leanne Marie that held sway over a full field of Pine Tree State-bred sidestepping distaffs.

Fern Hill Flight took the feature during the Cumberland Fair finale on Sunday (Sept. 28), closing out the eight-day stretch of Maine harness racing at the iconic Downeast oval.

The Pennsylvania fair circuit came to the Crawford County Fairgrounds in west-central Pennsylvania for a “two-day” program Saturday and Sunday, and seeing as this was the longtime base of legendary Keystone horseman Walter “Boots” Dunn, it seemed nice to see the name “Dunn” associated with the fastest mile ever at the oval.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA) will continue its 2025 Ohio county fair racing season with live-streaming coverage from the Coshocton County Fair in Coshocton, Ohio, on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 29-30).
