Trainer-driver Åke Svanstedt soared to the top from post nine with Bond and was not challenged throughout to win the $475,400 Goldsmith Maid, for 2-year-old trotting fillies, on Saturday (Nov. 26) at the Meadowlands.
Beach Glass stalks, strikes in Progress
The $250,000 Progress Pace, held Wednesday (Nov. 23) at Bally’s Dover, shaped up to be a “showdown at the speedway” between arch rivals Pebble Beach and Beach Glass. And while Pebble Beach won the battle for the early lead, blistering fractions took their toll and Beach Glass emerged victorious in the final 150 yards of the event for 3-year-old pacers.
Fall Final Four elims highlight Saturday Big M action

Loubet rallied from off the pace to win his $233,970 Kindergarten Series Final on Saturday night, closing gamely from off the pace to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:49.3. Bellisima Hanover struck one race later as she closed from off the pace in her $238,810 Kindergarten Series Final to win by a neck in 1:50.2.

Bond and trainer/driver Ake Svanstedt scored a victory in her $279,290 Kindergarten Series Final on Saturday night at The Meadowlands winning by a nose in 1:52.3. Volume Eight led the boys in the $268,180 Kindergarten Series Final with a dominant 1:52 performance, winning by eight lengths.

Bythemissal, King Of The North conquer in Hoosier Grand Circuit
Less than a week removed from the Breeders Crown at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Harrah’s Hoosier Park played host to Grand Circuit action for the sport’s top sophomores on Friday (Nov. 4), highlighted by the $200,000 Monument Circle, for 3-year-old pacing colts. Making his way back to the States following a third-place effort in the Breeders Crown Final, Bythemissal overcame the outside post nine, a fierce homestretch headwind, and nine of the best sophomore pacers in the game to add yet another trophy to his collection.
