Dunn picked up his record-setting sixth driving victory of the weekend when he guided Twin B Joe Fresh to a 1:49 win in Saturday’s (Oct. 26) $400,000 Mare Pace, the last of 12 Breeders Crown events hosted by The Big M over the weekend.

Driver Dexter Dunn worked a snug pocket ride for 5-2 second choice Mirage Hanover and powered for the money to equal the 1:48 stakes record in the $600,000 Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt & gelding pace on Saturday night (Oct. 26) at The Meadowlands.

Winner’s Bet got the lead at the half, appeared to be drawing clear from the field off the final turn and down the stretch, but still had to rebuff fast-closing Periculum to capture Saturday’s (Oct. 26) $600,000 Breeders Crown Open Trot by a nose in a stakes-record-equaling 1:51 at The Meadowlands. Hillexotic finished third.

A season that started with a 68-1 surprise over eventual Hambletonian winner Karl came to a close on Saturday (Oct. 26) at The Meadowlands with Sig Sauer surging to the lead right as the curtain fell in the $600,000 Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt & gelding trot to retire a champion with a 1:50.4 win.

My Girl E J and Dexter Dunn made it back-to-back Breeders Crown victories on Saturday night (Oct. 26) when they captured the $600,000 event for sophomore pacing fillies at The Meadowlands in 1:49.3, holding off a longshot bid by Tarrific in the final strides.

Trainer Ake Svanstedt has been making a habit of capturing the Breeders Crown Mare Trot. And on Saturday (Oct. 26), his good fortune continued as his two supplemental entries Call Me Goo and Nelsonbriteagle NO finished one-two in the $496,000 event at The Meadowlands, with Svanstedt guiding Call Me Goo to a stakes-record 1:50.4 mile.

The John Simpson Sr. stakes series continued on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 26) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, with $120,000 divided equally among four divisions of the Albatross 3-year-old pace for males, and $117,010 distributed in three divisions of the Davidia Hanover for 2-year-old trotting females.

Louprint wore down pacesetter Fallout in deep stretch and held off fast-closing stablemate Sippinonsearoc at the line to capture Friday’s (Oct. 25) $700,000 Breeders Crown for 2-year-old male pacers in 1:49.1 at The Meadowlands. The margin was a head over Sippinonsearoc and neck over Fallout in the three-horse photo.

Maryland and driver Dexter Dunn fought off pressure on both flanks to prevail in the $700,000 Breeders Crown 2-year-old colt and gelding trot, held Friday (Oct. 25) at the Meadowlands, in a stakes record-equaling 1:51.4 mile. The son of Chapter Seven out of the Father Patrick-sired mare Crucial also pushed his career earnings above $1 million, making him the third-richest juvenile trotter of all time.
