Last year’s MGM Borgata Pacing Series champion Funatthebeach N had posted a third and a fourth thus far in the 2023 edition of the event, but he scored a breakthrough 1:50.4 upset victory in the third of four $50,000 divisions of the third leg on Monday night (April 3) at MGM Yonkers Raceway. The winner’s share of the purse also made Funatthebeach N the newest millionaire in harness racing.

The second leg of the MGM Borgata Pacing Series for free-for-allers was conducted on a rain-soaked and sloppy MGM Yonkers Raceway on Monday night (March 27), and Idealsomemagic A and Tattoo Artist shared top honors on the program by each turning in a 1:51.2 mile in their respective $50,000 tests. The other divisions went to Lochinvar Art A and Jimmy Freight.

A 6-year-old mare by So Surreal, Racine Bell scored in 1:52.3 and became harness racing’s newest millionaire with the victory.

Lochinvar Art A, Hellabalou, Leonidas A and Idealsomemagic A emerged victorious from the four $50,000 opening-round divisions of the MGM Borgata Pacing Series, for free-for-allers, on Monday (March 20) at MGM Yonkers Raceway.
