The fifth edition of The Raceway’s Drivers Holiday Challenge on Tuesday night (Dec. 10) came right down to the wire and when the dust settled it was local reinsman Lorne House taking home the title with a one-point victory over 2024 Ontario Regional driving champion Tyler Borth.

Posts drawn for MGM Grand Prix pacing final
On Tuesday (Dec. 10), post positions were drawn for next Monday’s (Dec. 16) $250,000 MGM Grand Prix Pacing Series final at MGM Yonkers Raceway. The final major open stakes event on the North American harness racing calendar for 2024, the MGM Grand Prix Pacing Series final will go 1-1/16 miles and is race eight on the 11-race program.

Beloved harness horse trainer Eddie Hart looked out at the capacity crowd of well-wishers at Sunday (Dec. 8) night’s 65th awards banquet of the Monticello-Goshen Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association, presented by the New York Sire Stakes, and said, “Me and my buddy Tom Manza took the BOCES harness class in high school over 50 years ago.”
