Allegiant (Scott Zeron) collected her second consecutive victory in the division for freshman filly trotters.

Confederate, who on Monday became the fastest 3-year-old pacer in history with his 1:46.1 Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series win at Lexington’s Red Mile, became the first unanimous No. 1 in this season’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll when the Week 13 rankings were released Tuesday. In addition, four newcomers entered the Top 10, the highest turnover since four changes in Week 3 last year.
Clouse back doing what he loves
No one will ever say the COVID-19 pandemic was a good thing, but it did inadvertently provide Josh Clouse with a second chance at his first love. The 37-year-old Ohio native began training and driving Standardbreds after leaving college in the mid-2000s. But with he and wife Kelly preparing to start a family, financial issues dictated that Clouse get more stable employment, so he began working factory jobs.
