Trace Tetrick tried not to make a big deal out of it. In December, just for the heck of it, he checked out his win total to see how close he was to 7,000. He needed about 150, so once the season started he forgot about it, until the April 8 pre-race show at Harrah’s Hoosier Park reminded everyone that Trace was seven wins away.
