VHHA announces Mountain Racing Series
The Virginia Harness Horse Association has announced details of its Mountain Racing Series, open exclusively to 4- and 5-year-old horses that are graduates of Virginia’s lucrative Certified Residency program.
2024 Zweig conditions revised
A reminder that the conditions for the 2024 edition of the Dr. Harry M. Zweig Memorial stakes have been revised, with the “Top Money Winners” format changed to “Lifetime Money Winners.” This change takes effect immediately.
2024 Ohio Stakes Guide now available online
The 2024 Ohio Stakes Guide is now available at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association website, www.OHHA.com.
California Sires Stakes stallion registration information for 2024
Stallion registrations for the breeding season of 2024 are now being accepted for the California Standardbred Sires Stakes program.
Nominations for Miami Valley late closers due Feb. 15
Nominations for the first round of late closers at Miami Valley are due no later than Feb. 15.
Meadowlands standards for stakes participation
Per its Nov. 3, 2023 press release containing the New Meadowlands Racetrack ”exclusion list” and as a result of its pending internal investigation on performance enhancing substances, NMR announces that any persons, entities, owner(s) and/or trainers identified on the previously announced “exclusion list,” who have paid into the Meadowlands stakes and whose eligibility and exclusion has not been resolved to the satisfaction of NMR management by May 1, 2024 may result in horse(s) owned or trained by those on the “exclusion list” being denied eligibility to those stakes and being denied any refund of previous payment(s) without recourse for liability to NMR.
Nadia Lobell and Moni Maker move to Scioto
Eldorado Scioto Downs will host two new $120,000 events during the 2024 racing season. Both the Nadia Lobell, for 3-year-old pacing fillies, and the Moni Maker, for 3-year-old trotting fillies, will move to Scioto and be held on Saturday (July 6).

The 2024 Stakes Guide, the industry’s most comprehensive collection of race conditions, payment schedules and race schedules, is now available online at http://horsemen.ustrotting.com/stakes/.
C$200,000 Prix d’Ete returning to Hippodrome 3R
The Quebec Jockey Club is proud to announce that their signature race, the Prix d’Ete, will return at the Hippodrome 3R for the 2024 race season with a purse of C$200,000 for 4-year-old pacers plus a C$50,000 consolation race if 14 or more horses enter.
