Hoosier cancels Wednesday racing, carryover to Thursday
Due to immense rainfall and flash flooding in the area, Harrah’s Hoosier Park has canceled live racing on Wednesday (Aug. 12). Racing will resume on Thursday (Aug. 13 with a 14-race program set to get underway at 5:30 p.m.
Declarations for Sun Stakes Day at Pocono due Monday (Aug. 17)
Horsemen with Grand Circuit-caliber 3-year-olds and free-for-allers of both gaits are reminded that the draw will be held THIS COMING MONDAY (Aug. 17) for Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania’s annual highlight of the campaign, SUN STAKES SATURDAY, which will be contested on Saturday, Aug. 22, with a 2:30 p.m. first post.
Inclement weather alters Ohio Fair Racing schedule
The recent storms and ongoing inclement weather have resulted in the cancellation and rescheduling of harness racing at multiple Ohio fairs at Champaign County in Urbana and at the Attica Independent Fair.

Champaign County (OH) Fair reschedules Tuesday races due to weather
Due to storm damage and additional expected storms, the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, OH, is closed to the general public Tuesday (Aug. 11), and harness racing has been canceled.
Shenandoah Downs fall racing applications due Aug. 24
Racing applications for the 2026 fall meet at Shenandoah Downs, scheduled to run from Sept. 19-Nov. 1, are available online via the track’s website at shenandoahdowns.com under the “Horsemen” header.
Limited Sun Stakes Saturday clubhouse reservations available following Aug. 17 draw
