The Meadowlands Outstanding Drive of the Weekend continued in the month of April. Each Monday, the Meadowlands posts a poll on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) asking fans to vote for their favorite drive from the past weekend.

The Meadowlands is pleased to announce that with its upcoming 46th edition the Mistletoe Shalee, a time-honored Grand Circuit stake for 3-year-old pacing fillies, will be renamed to pay tribute to one of racing’s most colorful personalities, the late Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Silverman.

There was no correct combination to the Pick-5 on Saturday evening (May 4) sending a carryover of $1,632 into the Sunday night (May 5) program.

Eldorado Scioto Downs will once again have qualifiers available on RTN through streaming services, such as Roku, Amazon FireStick and online at www.rtn.tv.

Things are starting to heat up at The Meadowlands, and what better way to kick off the 14-week Championship Meet on Saturday (May 4) than with the top simulcast event in all of horse racing serving as a prelude to the beginning of the harness stakes season with the opening leg of New Jersey Sire Stakes action.

The Meadowlands is reminding all drivers who intend to participate in the 2024 “Championship Meet” which begins on Friday (May 3) that they must seek approval to drive.

Shenandoah Downs will host a “Derby at the Downs” celebration on Saturday (May 4) where fans can wager on live afternoon harness racing in conjunction with simulcast races from Churchill Downs including the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby.

Buffalo Raceway is midway through its 2024 season with live harness racing three days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2:30 p.m. first post and Saturdays at 6 p.m. first post.

As a convenience for the wagering public, the Meadowlands Racetrack will offer a walk-up teller window on both Friday (May 3) and Saturday (May 4) for Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby days.
