Oak Grove, KY — Inclement weather cast over southwest Kentucky on Sunday afternoon (May 7) and prompted the cancellation of the card from Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel out of an abundance of caution and for the welfare of participants.

The first Saturday card of the year at MGM Yonkers Raceway took place May 6, and the Pick-5 sequence was not hit, resulting in a $2,641.08 carryover and a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the wager on Monday night (May 8).

Due to weather-related track conditions, MHRI has postponed the eight-race program that was originally scheduled for Friday (May 5) to Sunday (May 7).

Tioga Downs kicks off the 2023 live racing season on Saturday (May 6). The races will begin at 5:15 p.m., a special post time to accommodate the simulcast of the Kentucky Derby. Races one-four will go before the Derby (estimated post time of 7 p.m.) with races five-12 resuming at approximately 7:25 p.m.

The Meadowlands won’t merely offer the best harness racing anywhere this Friday (May 5) and Saturday (May 6), because that wouldn’t be enough given the enormity of the weekend.
