After starting the year with 34 consecutive Friday and Saturday night programs that saw wagering exceed $3 million, things have slowed a bit recently at the windows at The Meadowlands, by far the handle leader in the sport of harness racing.

The Meadowlands management wishes to inform those horsepersons racing in Meadowlands Pace eliminations and the Graduate trot and pace finals that those horses must report to barns 1D and 1E for detention by no later than noon on Saturday (day of the races).

Harrah’s Philadelphia has canceled live racing for Thursday (July 6) due to a continued power outage.

The latest episode of ‘The Michigan Mighty’ will air on Harness Racing Symposium 101 on Facebook and will be cross-posted on the Northville Downs Facebook page at 7 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday (July 6).

Horseplay, a fan favorite promotion, began Friday (May 5) at The Meadowlands.

Ocean Downs is racing Wednesday (July 5) at 7:05 p.m.

Any horse that is being shipped into the Red Mile barn area, is required by the State of Kentucky that they have a negative Coggins test dated within the last 12 months and a health paper for each horse.

Batavia Downs stall applications for the upcoming 53 day meet are available online under the “Horsemen” section at Bataviadownsgaming.com.

In celebration of the 98th edition of America’s greatest harness race, the Hambletonian Society, Meadowlands Racetrack and Ghost Hawk Brewing Company have once again teamed up to provide fans and guests with Trotter’s Gold 2023.

The Meadowlands will have the qualifiers and 2-year-old races this week on Friday (July 7) at  9 a.m.
