Woodbine Entertainment has cancelled live Standardbred racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Tuesday evening (Sept. 23) due to lightning.

After no one hit the Pick-5 at Batavia Downs on Saturday (Sept. 20), there is a $2,556 carryover pool for that wager in the first race at Batavia on Wednesday (Sept. 24). As a result, the management of Batavia Downs has announced that the pool will be guaranteed at $7,500 through the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program.

To go along with nearly $1.5 million in purse money up for grabs on the Caesars Trotting Classic card at Harrah’s Hoosier Park on Friday (Sept. 19), bettors will have plenty to take aim at as well with a total of $100,000 in guaranteed wagers throughout the 14-race program.
