Need a little extra green for the holiday season? Well, you’re in luck, as opportunities to walk away with an increased Christmas bankroll will expand over the next two weeks at The Meadowlands, as the mile oval will add Thursdays to its usual Friday-Saturday schedule, and race on Dec. 5 and 12.

Live racing resumes on a Saturday night (Dec. 7) for the first time in several weeks at MGM Northfield Park and the action will roar immediately. The Pick-5 on Wednesday evening (Dec. 4) went unsolved, sending a $2,590 carryover into the Saturday card.

Woodbine Mohawk Park management today announced plans to move up first-race post time to 6:30 p.m. as of Jan. 2, 2025.

Woodbine Mohawk Park’s Race Office has announced a new Late-season Pop-Up Series to start on Dec. 13.

For the fourth season in a row, First Tracks Cumberland will present the Au Revoir Retirement Showcase, slated for Saturday (Dec. 21). The event is open to 14-year-old horses that are racing or have retired within the last four years, and have Maine connections. 

Due to heavy snowfall in the area and continued heavy snowfall and snow squall warnings Monday evening, live racing for Monday (Dec. 2) at The Raceway has been canceled.

The calendar flipped but that didn’t stop the prices from rolling in on a chilly Sunday evening (Dec. 1) at MGM Northfield Park. With hot prices all around the Pick-5 went unsolved, sending a carryover of $4,001 which will roll over to the added Monday (Dec. 2) card.
